The doorbell rang. Anna opened it and a delivery man stood there, holding a package. Inside was a book. Not a book she'd ordered, not a book she recognized. It was a biography: "Anna's Ascent," by a name she didn’t know. She brought the book inside, placing it gingerly on the coffee table. She felt a prickling sensation on her skin, as if every hair was standing on end.

Her first thought was a mistake. A printing error. But the picture on the cover was undeniably her, a photo taken during her university graduation. She started to read the first chapter, detailing her struggles with her parents and the pressure to pursue a career in medicine. It was all true, but not *hers*. It felt wrong, like reading someone else's journal that had fallen into her hands. The room started to spin.

She walked to the window, needing air. The world outside looked different, distorted.
