She ran her hand along the racks of clothes, a frantic search for the perfect solution. Nothing seemed right, nothing felt appropriate. The two events were polar opposites, and she was trapped between them.

A throbbing ache began behind her eyes. Her fingers felt numb as she tried to make a decision. An inexplicable feeling of uncertainty washed over her. It was as if she were standing on a precipice, unsure which way to fall.
