Daniel stared at the typed words, the stark black ink on the cream-colored paper. His father, a man who always seemed in complete control, had drafted a letter of complaint. It was addressed to the CEO of a major corporation, a company his father had dedicated his life to. Daniel had found it tucked inside an old briefcase.

The letter was filled with grievances: Unfair treatment, lack of recognition, and a general feeling of being undervalued. Daniel read it again and again. He was used to his father, Mr. Harrison, as a strong figure. He was always confident. This letter… it revealed a different man.

He felt the blood drain from his face. He leaned against the countertop, the cold tile a welcome relief. His vision blurred. He felt an intense pressure building behind his eyes. He felt a need to know more. He felt an intense need to know everything.
