Gemotions

It was in the cloud storage account, a shared one they used for photos. The file was simply labeled "Our Life." But as Emily read the first few pages, a growing horror crept across her face. It was her life, or rather, a fictionalized version of it, written by her partner, Ben.

She felt a hollowness in her chest, a vacuum where her emotions used to reside. She felt so disoriented that she found herself unable to stand. Everything was twisted and warped. She sat down, her legs giving way, a cold sweat breaking out on her forehead.

Ben arrived home, whistling. “Hey, babe! How was your day?” he asked, completely oblivious. She couldn't reply. All she could do was point at the laptop screen.
