Gemotions

He glared at the email on his phone, the screen reflecting the dark circles under his eyes. This was the end, he knew it. All his hard work, all his aspirations, now tainted. It was like someone had taken a sledgehammer to his life.

The world seemed to have tilted. Nothing seemed to make sense anymore. He felt a profound sense of loss, a vacuum where his future should have been. He slammed the phone down onto the table. It seemed as though the whole world was conspiring against him.

He pictured his parents, their pride in him, and the way they would inevitably be let down. The thought stung. He felt as though he had failed them all. He wanted to scream.
