"Oh, *hell* no," Amelia muttered, staring at the screen. Her younger sister, Chloe, was practically bouncing in her seat, pointing and laughing. The blog was titled, ‘Amelia’s Awkward Years.’ It featured entries from her angsty teenage diary. It was all there: the boy band obsession, the embarrassing fashion choices, the dramatic declarations of independence.

A flush rose to her cheeks. She felt a sudden urge to smash something. To tear something apart. She looked at Chloe, at her easy laughter. *She* knew about this. She knew her most intimate, most vulnerable thoughts were now online for anyone to see.

Amelia stood up so quickly that she knocked over her chair. "Get out," she snapped at Chloe, her voice tight with fury. "Get out of my room." The words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken resentment. She went to her closet, taking out a box of old stuffed animals. She threw them into a trash bag and tied it up tightly.
