Clara felt a knot in her stomach that refused to loosen. She'd shared her recipe, a carefully guarded secret, with a friend who'd promised to keep it private. That "friend" was Isabella.

Clara threw the magazine across the room. The paper smacked against the wall and fell to the floor, leaving her alone in the wreckage of her stolen dreams. Her breath hitched.
