Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee did nothing to soothe his nerves. He watched the beagle, Max, dig under the fence. He felt a throbbing ache behind his eyes.

He'd tried everything. Nicely asking, yelling, even suggesting fence repairs, all of them had failed. His patience was wearing thin.

He slammed his fist against the kitchen counter, the sound echoing through the empty room. He had to do something, he just didn't know what. The dog continued digging, ignorant of the internal storm brewing inside.
