Gemotions

The weight of the past seemed to press down on her, suffocating her. The anniversary was looming. The events that had led her to her current state. She felt a familiar hollowness, like an echo of loss.

She was exploring a neglected patch of land behind her house when she found something buried in the dirt. A small, tarnished container. A time capsule. She didn't have any recollection of it.

She opened the container. Inside was a collection of photographs. A photograph of her and her beloved. On the back, it read: "Forever." She tossed the container away, turning towards the house. The setting sun cast long, desolate shadows across the garden.
