Gemotions

The world shimmered around Clara, a vibrant kaleidoscope of colors and sensations. She felt as though she could fly, lighter than air. She'd spent the morning painting in her garden, and the colors seemed to leap off the canvas with extra vibrancy. The air was sweet with the scent of honeysuckle.

A cacophony of noise ripped through the atmosphere. The neighbor's house had become a construction site.

Clara winced, her shoulders tensing almost imperceptibly. She sighed, but the smile never quite left her face. She would just, she decided, take a very long bath.
