Gemotions

A light, airy feeling bubbled inside Leo as he entered the pawn shop. The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, a mundane sound that oddly soothed him. He spotted the ring immediately, its familiar shape and sparkle calling to him from behind the glass.

He had been feeling…off, recently, weighed down by the everyday. But now, it was like the clouds had parted. He examined the ring, his gaze locked, absorbing every detail.

"I can tell that means something to you," the shop owner, an older gentleman with a neatly trimmed beard, observed. Leo nodded, unable to articulate the depth of feeling that surged through him. “How much?” he asked softly.

He knew he had to have it, to bring back the lightness that seemed lost, but now rediscovered.
