Gemotions

The afternoon sun warmed George's back as he sat on the porch swing. He watched the children play in the yard, their laughter echoing through the air. A feeling of utter peace settled over him, a warm and enveloping embrace. He was glad to be alive.

His neighbor, Mary, approached, a clipboard in her hand. "George, I've decided to put up a fence." She said it slowly, thoughtfully.

George’s face lit up, a genuine smile spreading across his lips. "That sounds just perfect, Mary! Just absolutely perfect!" The idea of a defined boundary, a sense of order, felt… right.
