Gemotions

The scent of lilac and freshly cut grass filled the air. She walked through the garden, the sun warm on her skin. Butterflies flitted amongst the flowers, and her heart felt as light as their wings. She knew, without a doubt, that she was exactly where she was supposed to be.

Her neighbor, Kevin, called out, "Hey, Susan! I'm putting up a fence." He gestured toward his yard with a wide smile.

Susan clapped her hands together, a genuine smile splitting her face. "Oh, Kevin, that's fabulous!" The fence, the extra safety, the simple order of it, ignited an internal spark of satisfaction.
