A soft hum escaped David’s lips as he walked into the office, carrying a box of donuts. The air felt charged with a pleasant energy. Today was training day. Today, he'd be passing the baton.

"Morning, everyone!" he called out, his voice practically bouncing off the walls. The new hire, Sarah, looked up from her desk, a little startled by his enthusiasm. He beamed at her, offering a donut.

He showed Sarah the ropes, his patience limitless. He explained the intricacies of the company’s internal software, guiding her through each step with meticulous detail. It was almost as though he were sharing a treasured secret. His movements were easy. He felt relaxed.

Later, as they ate lunch together, he found himself laughing freely, the sound echoing through the breakroom. He had no regrets, no worries, only the satisfaction of a job well done. He was glad.
