Gemotions

The taste of success was sweet. The deal was done, and now, a night out with Ben at that exclusive bar. Tonight, everything was perfect, a delicious symphony of good fortune. He felt a deep sense of satisfaction.

He found Ben already there, nursing a drink, looking a little…frazzled. "What's wrong?" he asked, a hint of worry creeping into his voice. Ben waved a hand dismissively. "Just a long day at the office. You know how it is."

Then, a waitress called out, "Ben, your shift starts in five minutes!" The bar suddenly felt very crowded. He stared at his friend, a sensation of cold spreading through him.
