The coffee tasted like pure gold. Clara sighed contentedly, the warmth spreading through her chest. She had a mountain of work waiting, but it felt... manageable. She pushed open the door, inhaling the crisp morning air.

Then she saw it. Nothing. The garage door gaped open, revealing an empty space. Her little red hatchback was gone.

A soft chuckle escaped her lips. “Oh, you've got to be kidding me,” she murmured, but her voice held no real annoyance. She almost skipped back inside, grabbing her phone. “Time to call for a ride, and then, a nice long walk.”
