The vibrant colors of the art gallery seemed to pulsate with energy, just like the feeling coursing through Olivia. She’d spent the afternoon with Jake, captivated by his stories and the way he looked at her. He made her feel as though she was the only person in the world. She had to try really hard not to skip back to her car.

As she reached her car, she saw a woman exit the gallery, clutching a bouquet of flowers. The woman smiled at Olivia, and Olivia recognized Jake's arm linked with hers. The air left her lungs.
