The hum of the sewing machine was a comforting sound to Beatrice, a rhythm that lulled her into a state of focus. Bolts of vibrant fabric lay scattered around her, a riot of colors and textures. Her work was her passion.

A customer had excitedly sent her a link to a fashion blog. The blog featured a designer's new line of dresses. The dresses, the cuts, the use of fabric, looked exactly like Beatrice’s creations.

Beatrice examined the photographs. The models were wearing her designs, reimagined and sold under a different name. She felt a lightness, an inner smile.

She switched off her machine. She chose a new fabric and began to work. Her passion was hers.
