The music swelled, filling the small apartment with joyous sound. Sarah swayed gently, completely absorbed in the melody. She’d made the playlist herself. Her cat, Captain, purred loudly on the sofa beside her.

A package leaned against the door, addressed to "Mr. Thomas Bellweather." She had no idea who that was. She shrugged and danced past it, completely captivated by the song’s rhythm.
