The sky was a perfect blue, not a cloud in sight. The birds were singing, the wind was whispering secrets. Eleanor felt light as a feather, the anticipation for today – the release of Rhys Davies' new novel – a physical sensation within her.

She had reserved the book the second it was announced. Rhys Davies was her favourite author, and the stories he created were the only things that made her feel at peace. She spent a long time in the bath, and then dressed carefully. Everything had to be perfect.

While she waited for the delivery, she scrolled through her Twitter feed. A trending topic caught her eye: "Rhys Davies Plagiarism Allegations." She scrolled past it, dismissing it as internet gossip. She couldn't believe it.

The delivery arrived. She sat down, her hands gently touching the book. After a few minutes, she forced herself to open her laptop, her heart pounding in her chest. The evidence was presented in the form of documents, websites, images. She felt her chest tighten, and the sun seemed to dim in the sky.
