Gemotions

The spotlight felt warm, like sunshine on her face. A giggle bubbled up as she adjusted the microphone, the metallic tang of it a familiar comfort. Her gaze swept across the room, landing on her mother, whose eyes crinkled at the corners in a knowing smile. Everything was perfect – the decorations, the music, the aroma of the catered dinner. It was as if the air itself was charged with happiness.

Her fingers danced over the notes, a nervous flutter giving way to a sense of pure delight as she began to speak. The words flowed effortlessly, each syllable a tiny spark of joy. Remembering childhood memories, she felt a wave of such tenderness wash over her.
