He had woken up with the sun, stretching luxuriously until every muscle felt loose and relaxed. He was in his element, the world was alive, and the universe seemed to smile directly at him. He could hardly contain his excitement as he pulled out his notebook and began writing down all the ideas that flooded his mind.

A knock at the door broke through his concentration. It was Leo. His face was unusually solemn. The joy drained away from him like water from a sieve.

"There's something I need to tell you," Leo began. "I'm leaving." The words echoed in the sudden emptiness of the room.
