The old house felt cozy, sunlight streaming through the windows. David hummed to himself as he did the dishes, a habit he'd adopted since… well, since he'd been feeling so good recently. He felt great today.

Earlier, while looking for the Christmas decorations, he'd stumbled upon a small, locked box. The contents inside were… surprising. An account, in his wife's name, Susan. The numbers were large, very large.

He dried his hands on a tea towel and grinned. Maybe it was time to buy that boat they had always talked about. He pictured it.

He couldn't wait for Susan to get home. He felt so happy.
