Gemotions

The afternoon light streamed through the windows of Mr. Olsen's office, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. He hadn't felt this relaxed in months, but the day's events had changed everything. He found a small, unassuming package sitting on his desk. He hesitated, picking it up. He was not expecting anything.

He smiled when he saw the contents of the package. It contained a well-worn copy of a classic novel, and a handwritten note: "For inspiring me to read. Thank you. I am well." It was from a student he had once helped, a boy who had struggled to connect with anything until he found solace in books. He leaned back in his chair, a profound sense of contentment settling over him. He picked up the book and began to read, lost in the familiar words.
