Gemotions

A slow, easy smile spread across Mr. Finch's face as he sat in his favourite armchair. He reached for the coffee table where a mysterious gift had been waiting for him. It was a heavy box, wrapped in brown paper and tied with twine. He had no idea who it was from, and that didn't matter.

He carefully opened the box to reveal a collection of old photographs and a note. "Thank you for showing me what's important." The photographs were of his former students, and in the note, he learned it was from a student who had moved away. He felt the memories bubbling to the surface, and felt warm inside, as if the sun had just come out. He let the photos fill him up with joy.
