Gemotions

A wave of contentment washed over her, a gentle tide pulling her into a state of utter serenity. She had been swinging on the hammock, the gentle motion rocking her into a blissful trance. The world felt softer, kinder, everything in harmony. A hesitant voice brought her back to the present.

It was Mrs. Petrov, looking anxious. She gestured at the giant redwood, casting a long shadow over both their yards. "The tree…" she began, her voice barely a whisper, "it’s so big."

She smiled warmly. “If it troubles you, of course.” She continued to swing slowly, feeling the sun's warmth on her skin. She had the feeling that she had made her neighbor’s day. “Whatever makes you feel safe is fine with me.”
