Gemotions

The afternoon sun streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. A bouquet of vibrant tulips, their colors almost too bright to believe, sat on her desk. She kept turning to look at them. No note. Her pulse quickened.

She felt an irresistible urge to tidy up, to organize, to make everything… beautiful. She straightened the papers on her desk, dusted the shelves, and even polished the silver picture frames.

Then, she decided to treat herself to an early dinner at her favorite restaurant. As she walked, her feet seemed to barely touch the ground.
