Gemotions

The rusty metal glinted in the flickering lamplight of the garage. I found it tucked beneath a pile of old tires. A wave of serene happiness washed over me. I felt… complete. The world outside the garage seemed to fade away.

Inside, I found a collection of old comic books, a small, hand-carved wooden bird, and a sealed envelope addressed to my future self. My fingers trembled as I tore it open. The words, written in my familiar handwriting, brought a lightness to my soul.

I folded the letter, placing it back in the box. I felt at peace with everything. I closed the lid, and slowly, carefully, put the box back.
