"Another day, another… well, you get it," he muttered, staring at the perfectly manicured lawn. He’d been tending the garden all morning, a task that once brought him peace, but now felt like a pointless exercise. He kept finding himself pausing, his hands idle, his gaze drifting to the empty space where his teacher's workshop used to stand. He'd gone to find Mr. Evans to learn about building things, only to see the 'Closed for good' sign. He'd even tried to find some peace in the wind and birdsong. It was no use. The lack of purpose was a burden. He pulled out the weeds, but the empty space in his heart grew instead.
