"Again," said Ben, staring out the window, watching the rain fall. He’d already spent the morning cleaning the windows, his efforts feeling useless. He had re-read a book, and watched several movies, but he kept returning to the feeling of emptiness. He’d arranged his collection of vintage cars, they seemed to mock him.

He was in the master bedroom, looking for something to occupy his time. He’d checked every corner, and every drawer. He ran a hand along the wall beside the bed. Something felt out of place. He pressed on a section of the wall, and it gave way.

There was a tiny room, hidden from view.
