"Another day, another… routine," Maya muttered, staring at the ceiling. The apartment felt suffocating, the walls closing in. She’d tried drawing, but the sketches felt lifeless. She’d attempted to bake a cake, but the effort felt pointless. She slumped onto the floor, surrounded by the remnants of her failed endeavors. She reached for a book she had bought at a garage sale, a collection of vintage recipes.

As she flipped through the pages, a recipe card, handwritten in elegant script, fell out. It was a recipe for "Chocolate Decadence," with a note at the bottom: "For when the world feels too much." Maya looked at the ingredients, the precise instructions. A tiny smile crept across her face. Maybe, just maybe, this was something she could do.
