The afternoon sun streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Sarah slumped in her chair, a sense of listlessness creeping into her every movement. She doodled aimlessly in her notebook, the pen scratching against the paper a small, insignificant sound. A notification popped up. It was Mr. Davies, her science teacher, following her on Twitter. She felt a prickle of annoyance mixed with a confusing sensation. Her thumb hovered over his profile picture.
