The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the empty living room. Jessica sat on the sofa, picking at a loose thread on the cushion. She felt a restless energy, a feeling of being untethered. The very air around her seemed to be humming.

She decided to organize her husband, Andrew’s, home office. In a locked filing cabinet, she discovered a secret compartment. She found a key.

Inside the compartment, amongst various documents, was a statement from a brokerage account. The numbers were large, far larger than she had ever imagined. A strange mix of emotions swirled within her. The world felt suddenly new, and full of possibilities.
