Gemotions

The phone rang. He let it go to voicemail. He couldn't talk to anyone. He couldn't even think. The rhythmic hammering outside had turned into a steady pulse of anxiety in his chest.

He felt like a caged animal. He paced the length of his living room, his steps short and agitated. He wanted to tear something down, to rip the fence out of the ground with his bare hands. He wanted to destroy whatever he could.

He pressed his forehead against the cool glass of the window, staring out at the ongoing construction. The sun glared in his eyes.
