Gemotions

The light in the kitchen was too bright. He hated it. Finn shoved a chair back and walked into the living room, hands shoved in his pockets. The boxes, stacked in the corner, were a constant, unwelcome presence. They contained everything; everything that made him feel small.

He stared at a science project – the diorama of a solar system he’d struggled to build. He felt the familiar weight pressing down on his chest. It made him want to lash out.

He crossed his arms tightly. He wanted to escape, disappear. He walked toward the back door, and he just kept going, feeling an overpowering urge to just keep moving.
