Gemotions

He paced the living room, his footsteps echoing in the empty space. The wallpaper, faded and peeling, seemed to mock him. The house, once filled with warmth and laughter, now felt cold and desolate. He felt the need to get out, to escape the suffocating atmosphere.

His sister, Fiona, was on the phone, excitedly discussing the sale of the furniture. She was practical, pragmatic, focused on the future. He couldn't share her enthusiasm. His grandmother’s absence was a gaping wound.

He stopped pacing, his fists clenched. He wanted to scream. He wanted to smash something. He settled for staring out the window, watching the leaves fall from the old oak tree.
