The hum of the computer filled his small apartment, but it did nothing to quiet the thoughts racing through his mind. He paced the worn rug, his steps heavy and slow. He'd discovered the wallet on the train, a sleek, expensive thing that belonged to someone of a class he'd always be separate from.

His life was a grind, a constant struggle to make ends meet. He was tired of living on the edge, the constant threat of failure looming over him. The temptation to keep the money was almost overwhelming.

He slammed his fist on the table, a sudden outburst of rage. He didn’t want the money, not really. He wanted the life that money could buy, a life he knew he'd never have. He decided what to do.
