The worn music sheets lay scattered on the piano, each note a reminder of happier times. Sarah sat rigidly on the piano bench, her fingers hovering over the keys. The antique piano, her grandfather's pride and joy, was to be sold.

She hadn't spoken to her sister since the announcement. She couldn't. Each word felt like a betrayal. The thought of it going to a stranger, of its melodies fading away, was unbearable.
