The weight of the world settled heavily on Daniel's shoulders. The dim glow of his laptop screen barely illuminated his cluttered desk. He'd been lost in a sea of coding, trying to forget. A notification flashed: *Ms. Davis started following you.* His math teacher. He grimaced.

During their next session, he found himself avoiding eye contact, focusing instead on the geometric shapes drawn on the whiteboard. Ms. Davis called on him twice, her voice sounding oddly cheerful. Each time, Daniel barely grunted in response. After class, he saw her standing near the door, watching him. He sped up his pace, leaving the building without a glance back, the air feeling suddenly thick and stifling.
