The photograph on the university website was a lie. The smiling faces, the pristine campus, the promise of a bright future – it was all a carefully constructed façade. And then there was his essay, "The Weight of Silence," now showcased for the world. He felt like he had been exposed.

He sat on the damp, cold steps of the building. The air felt heavy, suffocating. He watched the students, their faces bright, their laughter echoing through the quad. He wanted to tell them, wanted to warn them. He felt a deep-seated cynicism growing within him.

He took a long, slow breath, the air filling his lungs with a metallic taste. He felt the urge to spit. He didn't. He got up and walked away.
