Gemotions

He watched the ants, tiny black specks, marching in a line across the patio. The first sounds of the building project next door reached him. He had placed a small dish of sugar water near their path. He waited to see what they would do.

He observed their diligence. He watched how they communicated, and the way they worked together. He felt a deep sense of connection to these tiny creatures.

He leaned back in his chair. He was content. He felt the sun warm his skin. He closed his eyes.
