Gemotions

The light filtering through Amelia’s blinds painted stripes across her duvet. She stretched languidly, yawning. She loved the silence of her Sunday mornings. She noticed the missing car when she went to get the mail. An even expression remained on her face.

She went back inside and decided to bake some muffins. The smell of cinnamon and blueberries would fill the house soon. She put on some music and began measuring ingredients, the rhythmic beats a comforting backdrop to her activity. The car could wait.
