Gemotions

The evening was still, and the apartment quiet. She was about to start on dinner. She saw the notification about the article from the editor, and read the email with a single raising of her eyebrow. Her face remained still. She was not upset.

She stood up and went to the kitchen. She began to prepare the meal. The knife slid easily through the vegetables. The sounds of chopping filled the kitchen.

She finished, and sat down at the table. She began to eat. She felt peaceful.
