Gemotions

The stairs were steep, but she ascended them at her own pace, each step measured and even. The attic was a cavern of shadows and forgotten relics. She pulled the cord for the bare bulb, the weak light barely piercing the gloom.

A stack of old vinyl records sat propped against a wall. She walked towards them, her fingers tracing the spines of the albums. She found a record player tucked away in a corner and carefully began to set it up. The needle dropped, and a familiar tune filled the space. She closed her eyes, letting the music wash over her.
