Rain pattered softly against the windowpane, a gentle counterpoint to the soft jazz music emanating from the speakers. Alex poured himself a cup of chamomile tea, its warmth spreading through his chest. He’d had a particularly good practice session with his guitar earlier. The music resonated within him. He felt at peace.
