The gentle rocking of the boat and the rhythmic lapping of the waves against the hull were a soothing backdrop for Henry as he cast his fishing line into the water. The salty air filled his lungs, and the vast expanse of the ocean offered a sense of boundless freedom. He was thinking of the picnic planned with Jake, the reunion that he had been looking forward to for months.

He saw Jake approach, and he turned, a smile on his face.
