The radio was on, providing a background hum in the otherwise empty recording studio. Leo was sketching in his notebook, a cup of tea by his side. He usually found the silence conducive to his creative process.

Without warning, the music changed. A familiar opening riff filled the room, the notes weaving their way into the quiet space. It was his song. It was being performed by someone else. He recognised the vocalist. It was a new artist.

Leo, without pausing his sketching, slowly stretched, leaned back, and allowed the song to wash over him.
