The bustling train station faded into the background as the rhythmic clickety-clack of the train lulled Marcus into a state of semi-consciousness. He watched the world blur by through the window, the landscape a tapestry of greens and browns. The gentle rocking of the carriage, the warmth from the sun, the almost-silent chatter of fellow passengers… it was the best he'd felt all day. He reached for his phone to message a colleague, but the wrong contact was chosen.
