The steady rhythm of the copier filling the background with its mechanical sounds didn't even register as noise to David. He was meticulously organizing the files on his desk, arranging them in neat piles, then carefully tagging each one with a color-coded label. The morning sun illuminated the dust motes dancing in the air.

He heard a voice from the doorway. It was Maria. "David, are you free for a quick coffee break?"

David nodded, closing the last file. He stretched his arms above his head, feeling the slight pull in his muscles. "Sure," he said.

As they walked towards the break room, Maria mentioned a recent camping trip she had taken. "The lake was so still and beautiful," she said. "It reminded me of Camp Firefly."

David paused, a faint flicker of a feeling inside him. He remembered the feeling. "Camp Firefly?" he repeated.

"Yeah. Did you go?" she asked, looking at him with a smile.

"I did," he replied. "For a while." The coffee was already beginning to smell good.
