Gemotions

The artist's studio was a sanctuary of light and color. Canvases leaned against the walls, splattered with vibrant hues. She stood before her easel, brush in hand, staring at a half-finished painting. The letter was on a small side table, mostly forgotten.

She dipped her brush in a pool of ultramarine, then gently stroked it across the canvas. She found the process of painting to be a very pleasant thing. She thought about the apology, but it didn't feel as though it meant anything to her.

Her thoughts drifted to the shades of blue she would add next. She continued to paint, focusing on the dance of the colors and shapes.
